SS Nuzlocke- Chapter 7

After getting the Hive Badge, I headed back to the Route before Azalea town, and caught a Hoppip Lacy. She..doesn`t say much, I supposed.

When I found her, I got down on my knees, and asked, ``Do you wanna join our team?``

``....`` she stared at me, blankly. Okay, yes, Pokemon can`t talk except for Psychic, but at least Oatmeal and the others make gestures and sounds to communicate with me.

Then, Lacy franticly nodded, her blue eyes wide, begging. So I put her in my Pokeball. Lax Nature, Likes to Relax. That`s for sure. She`s pretty chill, and goes with the flow. But she`s no flower, either. She can take quite a few hits, and is pretty strong.

So, we left Azalea Town for good. Heading onto Ilex Forest, we rested a bit before moving on. As I snoozed under a tree with a purring Lacy on my stomach, Rocky and Oatmeal made a racket tearing through the forest, disturbing the bug Pokemon. Lily trained by herself, while Octavia tended to the little fussy Ethan.

Suddenly, I broke from my daze and saw Rocky slither over to me. He cocked his head at me, his big black eyes shimmering with worry. So I stared at a returning Lily, so she could translate.

``Uhh...he lost Oatmeal. Says he got separated from her, and doesn`t know where she is.`` I groaned and stood up. ``Probably off somewhere terrorizing a poor Weedle.....``

``Oatmeal! Oatmeal! Where are you!``

Our small pack walked through Ilex Forest, calling for Oatmeal. Funny enough, the Hoothoot didn`t reply. I mean, sure, she`s a prankster, but even she wouldn`t hold out on us this long.

``Where could she possibly be...?`` I mumbled, screening my eyes from the dim light with my hand, scanning the trees. No fuzzy brown lumps here. Where COULD she be...?

One moment the forest was quiet, the next, a chirping sound approached us. I knew that chirp anywhere. Looking over my shoulder, I saw a happy Oatmeal hop towards us on her one pink leg.

``Oatmeal!`` I knelt down onto my knees and scooped her up. Stroking her head, I held her out slightly for Rocky to happily bend down to be eye to eye. Soon, my happiness vanished, though, as I looked around. ``Danggit, now we`re lost..Oatmeal, where WERE you?``

Hopping out my arms, she jumped up and down, flapping her wings, her beak clacking. The others blinked at her confused, and I stood dumbfounded. ``..Oatmeal. Did you forget I can`t speak Pokemon?``

Tossing her head impatient, she glared at Lily and spoke once more to her. Lily`s eyebrows went up in surprise, and I glanced at the Slowpoke. ``Translation, please...?``

``Hmm....Oat here says she slipped away from Rocky when she heard someone singing. She found a lady in a long red and green robe-like dress, singing and dancing with her Espeon. Then the lady told her it wasn`t nice to cause all the bug Pokemon here terror, and that everyone in the forest had to behave themselves in front of the shrine?``

Oatmeal nodded, and babbled a bit more. Lily nodded, before looking back at me. ``Then the Lady asked her who her trainer was. Apparently, this lady can speak Pokemon, `cause she replied to Oatmeal. `Oh my, James, you say...?Hmm....` After that, the Lady showed her the way out of here, and left the forest herself.``

Taking it in, I titled my head considering it. ``Weird...A lady in green and red?`` Oatmeal nodded, and I thought even more. I had never heard of anyone like that...maybe she was just a women living in another town? Shaking my head, I told everyone, ``Anyways, let`s get outta this forest before it gets dark.``

Ethan yawned and clambered up onto his mother`s back, sleepy. Oatmeal got onto her usual perch on my left shoulder, tucking her face under her wing. The rest of us half sleeped-walked to the entrance, getting the heck out of the odd forest.

That is supposed to be the lady`s cool robe-dress thingy and were all going to pretend it doesnt look horrid okay it was a quick doodle leave me alone

Also I cant draw Hoothoots for the life of me. But I love Oatmeal, heh heh
